Protege

"In this movie, Nick(Daniel Wu) was playing the role of an undercover for the police force. He was ordered to investigate the greatest drugs trader in HOng KOng in order to discover out his drugs storage and dealing methods with numerous international drugs distributors. Initially, there were some irritating scenes of a drug addict, Fan(Zhang JIng Chu). She was deeply influenced by her ex-husband(Louis Koo) who was indulged in the drugs hell.She has always tried to go for rehab after was being advised by Nick but failed many times, eventually she couldn't escaped from her desperate ex-husband and was overdose by him and died.However, there were more irritating scenes on before and during the death of Fan, there were rats crawling on her dead body and....disgusting!

Oh yea, i have almost forgotten to mention about the climax of the movie. Nick went to Thailand along with the drugs trader and his family.There, they owned a large compound of opium farm which used to produce coccaine(i think so). Soon, Nick was discovered that he was the undercover of the police force, the drugs trader threatened to kill him as he had betrayed him all those years.Later, Nick quickly inform the police force and stood by b4 they returned back to HOng KOng.But finally it was the bad guy who needs to pay off, he killed himself in the toilet before having a conversation with Nick.

I have learnt an important lesson on this meaningful movie. Nick ultimately found out that why will ppl take drugs, and the answer is juz a simple one, because they're ignorant, they desire to fulfill their temporarily emptiness in their heart by taking drugs, they thought that there might be some freedom in their mind but actually it's only a beautiful illusion that never exists b4 afterall."
